Baby Bolgatanga Baskets from Ghana

Coming from the Bolgatanga region of Ghana, these baskets are traditionally used for carrying goods to and from the market. Weavers in the region use the abundant Elephant grass to weave these incredibly hardy, useful baskets.
The leather wrapped handle adds to the durability. Please note that if colour looks black on your screen, it is actually a very, very dark blue. Dyed with natural plant colours where applicable.

Easily reshape your basket by quickly submerging in water (keep leather dry), reshape by hand and hang to dry. Although we attempt to ship all baskets fully shaped, some baskets may need a little bit of shaping when they arrive to you.

Size: approx. 20 - 23 cm wide and 20 - 23 cm high (without handles).
