Please note: EXTREME 18X is very low sudsing, yet a powerful natural surfactant. Do not expect a lot of suds in the wash water. Let the end result speak for itself. Mix a small amount with a couple ounces of water and shake it up. You'll then see lots of suds! Suds in the wash water simply do not make a good barometer for evaluating cleaning power. If the end result is clean, fresh and soft then you are using an adequate amount. Increase the amount used if needed. Water hardness is an important variable. The harder your water, the more you should use. Also avoid over packing loads. Over packing loads will produce less than desirable results regardless of detergent type. Allow adequate water flow and room for laundry to intermix. An initial pre-soak (allowing the wash to simply soak in the basin) for 15-20 minutes is always a good practice for optimal results. Feel free to experiment a bit to dial in exactly what produces the best results for your particular conditions and situations. Everybody is different. There is no substitute for good judgment. Enjoy and know that you really can't do anything wrong - and that you are using a totally safe, environmentally friendly laundry soap.

Important Consumer Notices:
– Because law in the US does not require “Full Disclosure”, do not assume that if a product states full disclosure that it actually is genuinely complete and full disclosure. Neither the FDA nor EPA has provided legislation to truly help and protect consumers from erroneous or misleading claims. Hence, it is very important to study the ingredients for ourselves, and draw our own conclusions.
– All water based botanical liquids (unless chemically extracted) absolutely require sufficient preservatives for your protection. Botanical liquids are subject to becoming rancid due to fungal and microbial development. Although saponin is naturally anti-fungal and anti-microbial, once water extracted it will become subject to such contamination. There are very safe, benign preservatives that have very low hazard ratings - such as 2 on the "Safety in Cosmetics" database scale of 0-9 (0 being best and 9 being worst). For your protection we use such safe and very well studied ingredients.
– Citric Acid (often claimed as solely a water softener) is totally insufficient as an adequate preservative to ensure a two-year shelf life (the standard required shelf life for a NaturOli liquid soap and detergent). Common sense tells us that lemon juice and other citrus juices do help preserve food. Put a little lemon juice on an avocado paste, and it will help stop it from turning brown. However, will a lemon (loaded with citric acid) actually rot in time? Of course it will. Finding the truth has not been made easy for consumers. Let your own good judgment be your guide.
– Being totally free of fragrance, your laundry will smell amazingly clean and fresh - like "line-dried" on a clear spring day! No hint of an added scent at all. If you desire a scent, we suggest putting a few drops (dependent upon potency) of your favorite essential oil on a clean rag and just toss it in your dryer. This will scent the fabrics without affecting the fabric fibers. Avoid adding any essential oils during the wash or rinse cycles for the oils can produce a "wicking" effect. This results in coating fabric fibers, building up residue and causing laundry to be less absorbent - exactly some of the main problems that soap nuts eliminate!
